An honor recipient of the Coretta Scott King Award for Non-Violent Social Change, Jason Reynolds’ The Boy In The Black Suit is a YA novel about Matthew, a young African-American teen coming to terms with the death of his mother. It’s a quiet book, slow-paced and thoughtful.
