I’ve only started this book but feel compelled to already blog about it before even finishing it. It’s about the life of a trans man named Pauli Murray. Born a girl in 1910 (!) as Pauline, she grew up a biracial orphan dealing not only with issues of race but also with the fact that she was really a he inside. And obviously, there was no such term as transgender back in the early 20th century.
It’s a fascinating look at history through a very unique lens.
