The Inheritance

When was the last time you read a play? Already a hit in the London’s West End, and soon to be Broadway-bound, this epic saga by Matthew Lopez is a masterpiece. Performed over two nights, the play is presented in Four Acts.

It’s the story of the intertwining lives of gay men in New York, touching upon everything from AIDS to art to racism to Trump to love to how gay men pass along experiences and culture from generation to generation. It’s the new Angels in America, dare I say.

The dialogue is witty and intelligent and completely accessible. I didn’t want this book to end, but I couldn’t put it down.

I may have to get myself to New York this Fall to catch the performance of it!
